Home Improvement

Although we are still inside, staying warm from the snow, it is a good time to get a jump start on your Spring Cleaning and start thinking about any home improvements you want to tackle this year.  Many of these can be done now while the weather is keeping us inside.  Here are a few ideas to add to your Spring Cleaning list

Clean out the garage. and organize so you can fit at least one car in the garage.

Inspect the roof and gutter.  With all the snow and ice, make sure no repairs are needed before the rain starts again.  Check the attic to ensure no moisture got in to prevent additional and costly repairs.

Power wash the outside of the house, including windows, driveway and walkways.  Use a light pressure on painted surfaces and windows.

Donate clothes not worn for more than two years.

Wash all inside windows. Vacuum out the tracks.

 Vacuum/wash/dry clean all window coverings.

Dust and wash light fixtures and chandeliers.

Wash all knickknacks. Vacuum books and shelves.

 Vacuum lampshades. Replace lightbulbs.

Deep clean shower, toilet, floor and sink.
